John Glander

John A. Glander 81, of Bellaire, died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. John was born March 1, 1929 in Detroit, the son of Edwin and Hazel Glander. He was a longtime Elder of the Church in the Hills in Bellaire. He was also a very active member of the Central Lake Masonic Lodge, the Northwest Shrine, and Antrim Area Seniors. JOhn served his country in the US Air Force. He was a licensed building contractor and worked in Antrim County since he moved here in 1970. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Edrie Hacker. Surviving are his wife Violet, children, Kim (June) Glander of Clawson, and Kathy (Jerry) Cameron of Mancelona, a sister Esther (Thomas) Beeman of Duluth, MN, several step children, grandchildren and great grand children. Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Three p.m. at the Church in the Hills, with the Central Lake Masonic Lodge officiating.
