Joan Groeneveld

Joan E. Groeneveld, 81, of Bellaire, MI, winter resident of Spring Hill, FL, died peacefully on May 2, 2016. Joan was a longtime resident of Bellaire and enjoyed spending her winters in Arizona and most recently in Florida. Joan was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Bellaire for many years. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, R.V.ing, quilting, volunteering for various community activities and most of all traveling with her late husband Herman. Throughout her life she traveled to every state in the country. She is survived by two sons, Don Groeneveld of Bellaire, Joseph Groeneveld and daughter-in-law Lisa Groeneveld of Spring Hill, FL, 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda and Lianna. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Groeneveld in 2004 as well as her parents. Funeral services celebrating Joan's life will take place on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Hope Lutheran Church in Bellaire with Pastor Wade Seaver officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
