Jesse Davila 55, of Bellaire passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning, January 24, 2009 with his loving wife Paula, her sister and a dear friend at his side. He was born August 3, 1953 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Juan and Agapita (DeLeon) Davila (deceased). After graduating from Miller High School in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was a track and field star and in the Naval ROTC, Jesse attended an Accounting and Business school in Chicago earning a degree that he was able to use for 30 years in the hotel industry. Jesse married Paula DiNofrio on August 21, 1982 in Elk Rapids, Michigan. His wife of 26 years and number one caregiver survives. Also surviving is their daughter Kathy (Colin) Wood of Corpus Christi, Texas. Jesse was known to their two beautiful grandsons, Jonah and Aiden as "POPO" who will miss him so very much. Also surviving are four sisters, Mary (Sedro) Ramirez and Carol Davila of Houston, TX, Norma Davila and Gloria (Paul) Sosa of Corpus Christi, TX, two brothers Mike (Janie Puga) Davila and John (Maria) Davila of Houston, Texas and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Jesse enjoyed watching sports especially his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Jesse will be sadly missed by longtime best "Buddy" Roger Gieseck who really brought out Jesse's very best with his love for fishing and golf; trusted dear friend and caring driving companion "Honey" aka George Finney, many friends and Paula's family members. Friends may visit from 1-4 on Sunday, February 1, one of Jesse's favorite days "Superbowl Sunday" at the home of Alan and Cynthia Hickman, 2094 S E Torch Lake Drive, Bellaire. A private Memorial service is being planned in the Spring just as soon as the golf greens are up to snuff! In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution fund in Jesse's name can be mailed to Huntington Bank, PO Box 739, Bellaire, MI 49615
