Jere W Clark

Jere W. Clark, 83 of Bellaire, passed away on April 2, 2025. He was born Aug. 8, 1941 in Lansing the son of John and Virginia (Hagerman) Clark.

Jere was a lifelong resident of Bellaire, graduating from Bellaire High School in 1960. He worked for many years at Lamina and also owned Ruthie’s Dairy Twist with his beloved wife. He had a passion for farming and could often be found in the fields with his animals or in the barns tinkering on projects. One of his favorite projects was getting his new Ford truck to run on the old grease from the fryers at the Dairy Twist, giving him the name, “The Grease Fryer Truck Man”. Jere’s hobbies in his younger days included Judo and he even competed at the National Level. He also enjoyed downhill skiing with his family, even into his late 60’s.

Surviving are his children Patti Lowery of Mancelona, Jan (Steve Lacy) Clark of Bellaire, Jill Clark of Bellaire, Jon Michael (Tammy Bailey) Clark of Mancelona, Jennie Clark of Florida, Jason Clark of Bellaire, Julie Clark of Bellaire, Jeffrey Ricky (Kathleen) Clark of Alba, Jere Casey Clark of Bellaire, 31 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, sister in law Mary Ellen Rhea of Colorado, and honorary sister in law Sharron Hagerman of Grayling. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruthie (Bedell) Clark in 2022, son Jackie Clark in 2012, brother Warren Clark in 1979, brother in law Joseph C. Rhea, honorary brother Jack Hagerman, and his parents.

Memorial contributions can be given to the Antrim County Meals on Wheels, PO BOX 614, Bellaire, MI 49615.

Private family services will be held. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved Ruthie in Eldred Cemetery, Kearney Township.
