Jeffery Meiser

JEFFERY A. MEISER, 50, of Mancelona, formerly of Kalkaska, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care following a brief illness of cancer. Jeffery was born on July 12, 1959 in Cass City, the son of Glenn R. and Viola Ferol (Cramer) Meiser. At the age of 2 he moved to the LaPeer area then to Kalkaska in 1973 and was currently residing in Mancelona. He loved the outdoors, especially boating, camping and gardening. The love in his life was cooking. He learned to cook when his parents owned the Kountry Kitchen Restaurant in Alden and went on to cook for several restaurants around the area. He is survived by 6 children, Jeffery (Amanda) Riegler, Jennifer Riegler, Joshua Riegler, Jeremy Meiser, Jessica (Matt) Seaman, Janessa (David) Piechocki, 10 grandchildren, Emily, Jeffery, Jacob, Elissa, Thomas, Loren, Kiersten, Hunter, Davey, Brendon, his mother V. Ferol (Robert) Frank as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Glenn Meiser, a brother Timothy Meiser and his grandparents, Frank and Emily Meiser and Gary and Mabel Cramer. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Eleven a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Helena Township Cemetery, Alden. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
