Jean Thomas-Petrie

JEAN THOMAS-PETRIE 83, of Central Lake, died on February 27, 2007 at Charlevoix Area Hospital. Jean was born on April 30, 1923 in Detroit, the daughter of William and Genevieve (Baker) Bush. She was a resident of Central Lake since 1978 where she was a member of the Central Lake Lioness Club. She attended St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire and enjoyed golfing, collecting chicken and rooster statues and playing cards. On November 21, 1998 in Central Lake, she married Robert Petrie who survives. Also surviving are six children, Nancy Thomas of Ypsilanti, Suzanne Thomas of Florida, David Thomas of Rockwood, MI., Denny (Nancy) Thomas of Rockwood, MI., Don (Rene) Thomas of Central Lake and Sally Varisto also of Central Lake. In addition to her children, she is survived by two brothers, Kenneth (Patricia) Bush of Florida, Wendell Bush of Florida, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Dave Scott officiated. Interment was is Southern Cemetery, Central Lake.
