Janet Sara Kadlec

Janet Sara Kadlec 81 of Bellaire passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. She was born on March 7, 1943, in Iron River, the daughter of Richard and Jennie Marie (Havelin) Erickson.

 Janet graduated from Iron River High School and St. Joseph in Hancock, MI where she earned a degree as a Registered Nurse. She dedicated her life to taking care of others and worked for many years at the Grand Traverse Pavilions and Meadow Brook. She enjoyed Oil Painting, working with stained glass, and making jewelry. She was a very creative and crafty lady.

 Surviving are her children Jennie (Rob) Cook of Kalamazoo, Jeff (Jennifer) Kadlec of Bellaire, and three grandchildren Sarah (Josh Hagen) Bach, Madison Kadlec, and Logan Kadlec. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Dickie, Sally, Harriet, Eldred, and Mark.

 Graveside services will be held this summer in Rest Haven Cemetery in Iron River.
