Jane DeNise

Jane I. DeNise, 76, of Charlevoix, passed away on May 24, 2019 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

Jane was born on April 1, 1943 in East Jordan, the daughter of William and Neva (Hitchcock) Dunson.

Jane owned and operated several businesses through the years.  She specialized in accounting, income taxes, investments, and insurance.

She always put her family first, especially her grandchildren.  Along with spending time with her family, she enjoyed both painting and photography.  While especially enjoying nature and gardening.

She is survived by a son, Robert L. Sr. (Erna) DeNise of Charlevoix, her mother, Neva Dunson of East Jordan, 2 grandsons, Robert L. DeNise Jr., Mathew A. DeNise both of Charlevoix, 4 brothers, William (Joyce) Dunson of East Jordan, Louis (Diane) Dunson of Traverse City, John Dunson of East Jordan, Wayne (Laura) Dunson of East Jordan, 4 sisters, Sue Underwood of East Jordan, Carol Dunson of East Jordan, Nancy (Ron) Schroeder of East Jordan, Brenda Balogh of Traverse City as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father William Dunson in 1981.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday, June 3 from 4-6 p.m. at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
