Jane Cooley

Jane B. Cooley, 91, of Mancelona and Jackson, passed away on June 30, 2016 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Eden Center. Jane was born on November 10, 1924, in Jackson, MI, the daughter of Edwin and Charlotte (Smith) Hasse. Jane enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and running, especially marathons. On April 26, 1944, in Jackson, MI, she married Willard Cooley who survives. Also surviving are three children, Christina (Phillip) Reed of Bellaire, Richard (Lois) Cooley of Colorado, Martha Clements of Maine, seven grandsons, Jason (Erika) Reed of Ludington, Joel (Lisa) Reed of Madison, WI, Josh (Natalie) Reed of Northville, Michael Clements of Seattle, WA, Jarred (Melanie) Clements of Cape Cod, MA, Justin (Sarah) Cooley of Chicago, IL, Jonathan Cooley of Chicago, IL, five great-grandchildren Olivia, Sidney, Ethan, Graeme Reed, and Owen Cooley, a sister Elizabeth Quackenbush of Ann Arbor, and sister-in-law Mary Miller of Grand Rapids. Preceding her in death were her parents, a son Brian Cooley, daughter Suzi Cooley and a brother-in-laws Leland Quackenbush and Louie Miller. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Pastor Eric Falker will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
