Jamie Thornburg

Jamie Nicole Thornburg, age 37, of Mancelona, was born August 19, 1986. She fought hard, but lost her battle with cancer on May 13, 2024 .

Daughter of Doris and Paul Barkovich, and Laurie Anderson. Jamie attended schools in Northern Lower Michigan and graduated in Traverse City. She had a special interest in cooking and took culinary classes in TBA. Jamie enjoyed working in fast food and retail stores. She also enjoyed gaming, writing, watching movies, and listening to music. She was proud to be a Hiking Honey, and enjoyed camping trips with the group. Jamie’s special loves were her nieces and nephews. 

Jamie was preceded in death by 8 grandparents, uncle Al, and uncle Pat.

She is survived by her parents, grandmother Terri Passmore, siblings Jessica Bole, Danna Howard, Brian Howard, Scott Barkovich, Ryan Barkovich, and Terry Barkovich. Also survived by her love, Joshua Lighthill, many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
