James Zagacki

JAMES "JIM" ZAGACKI, 71, of Bellaire, passed away on September 2, 2012 at Cherry Hill Haven in Traverse City. Jim was born on February 1, 1941, in Detroit, the son of John and Irene (Radzialowski) Zagacki. Upon his retirement from Rockwell/Arvin-Meritor in Troy, he moved to Bellaire where he was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. Jim enjoyed many outdoor activities such as, golfing, fishing, skiing, boating, model airplanes as well as photography. On August 22, 1964, in Detroit, he married Margaret Bruttell who survives. Also surviving are 5 children, Catherine (Lance) Redinger of St. Onge, S.D., Steven (Stephanie) Zagacki of Troy, MI., Paul (Jennifer) Zagacki of Lake Oswego, OR., Karen (Andrew) Patterson of Grand Rapids, MI., John Zagacki of Auburn Hills, MI., a brother David (Linda) Zagacki of Warren, MI., and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire. Fr. James Gardiner will officiate. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, 106 S. Bridge St., Bellaire, MI., 49615.
