James Leo McIntire

James Leo McIntire, 83, of Mancelona, MI passed away on October 5, 2024.

He was born in Atlanta, MI on August 12, 1941, son of the late Leo and Elizabeth McIntire. He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Jerlin) McIntire and Matthew (Elizabeth) McIntire. Grandchildren, Nathan (Amanda) McIntire, Courtney (Patrick) Vela, Mark, Mary, and Luke McIntire, as well as three great grandchildren Tycho, Soren, and Isabella .

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Ferguson, brother, Clyde McIntire, and is entering his heavenly journey alongside his sister, Shirley Maurer who passed away October 6th, 2024.

Jim loved taking on projects around his house and within the community. He was an avid gardener and outdoorsman and loved watching all types of sporting events. Jim was actively involved in the Mancelona Senior Center, and enjoyed dinners, dancing, and card games.

Family and friends are welcome to a memorial gathering and luncheon, held at 11am on Saturday, October 12th, at the Mancelona Senior Center,122 East State Street, Mancelona, MI.
