James Hudson Sr

JAMES R. HUDSON, Sr., 81, of Mancelona, died on July 17, 2010 at Charlevoix Area Hospital. Jim was born on February 26, 1929 in Wyandotte, MI., the son of Ronald and Anna (Heft) Hudson. Jim was a lifelong resident of Mancelona. He was a long time farmer and bus driver for the Mancelona Public Schools. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, bass fishing, camping, playing cards, gardening and playing scratch off lotto tickets. He had been the manager of Thurston Park in Central Lake for the past several years. On November 3, 1950, in Muskegon, he married Helen Gilmore who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Ron (Kim) Hudson of Mancelona, Jimmy (Steph) Hudson of Bellaire, Tom (Donna) Hudson of Mancelona, Tammy (George) Molski of Mancelona, 10 grandchildren, Rocky (Jenny) Hudson of Kimball Twp., MI., Krista Akerley of Williamsburg, Brad (Rebecca) Molski of Bellaire, Melanie (Chris) Griffore of Mancelona, Matthew (Amanda) Molski of Rock Springs, WY., Ryan Hudson of Ypsilanti, MI., Dillon Hudson of Bellaire, Tasha Molski of Mancelona, Jesssica Hudson of Scottsdale, AZ., Trevor Hudson of Mancelona and 5 great-grandchildren, Brett, Ella, Tucker, Tatum and Lucy. A memorial gathering will take place on Wed., July 21 at 5:00 p.m. at the Hudson residence, 711 S. Maple St., Mancelona.
