James Hebden

James Edward Hebden, 68, of Echo Twp., died Friday, May 16th at home. He was born November 22, 1939 to Christopher and Catherine (Weisler) Hebden in Echo Township. Jim was a life long resident of Antrim County. He drove a milk truck for Michigan Milk Producers Association of which he was a member for several years. He also drove a school bus for the Central Lake Public Schools for many years. Jim farmed most of his life He was an avid fisherman and hunter and had a great love of the outdoors. He is survived by his siblings; Christopher Jr. (Fran) Hebden of Mason, Margaret (Maurice) Murphy of East Jordan, John (Ruth Ann) Hebden of Echo Twp, Martha (Mike) Moore of Central Lake, Betty Chaney of Echo Twp., Louise (Doug) Bergmann of Charlevoix, Dorothy (Larry) Drenth of Echo Twp., and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Roy. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23rd , Eleven a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Douglas Weisler will officiate. Interment will follow in Dunsmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 22nd, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
