James H. Bishaw, 74, of Charlevoix, passed away March 29, 2021 at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey. James was born September 26, 1946 in Charlevoix to Edmund J. and Shirley (Welsh) Bishaw.
In his early years Jim worked in manufacturing in the Charlevoix area. Farming was his first love, along with working for the city of Charlevoix. He never retired because he got to know and love the men who he worked with at the city so well, and made lifelong friendships. Jimmy was a very loved and special man to all who knew him.
The Lord always came first to Jim. He was an active member of The Church in Charlevoix, and enjoyed being at the Church. On June 26, 1964 in Petoskey, Jim married Betty L. Bogart who survives. Also surviving are two children, Tina Bishaw of Harbor Springs and Angela Robarge of Nashville, TN, and three grandchildren James Larewnce, Andrew Robarge and Sarah Robarge. As well as four sisters, Jane Stoner of Alanson, Joyce Burdo of Charlevoix, Carolyn Liskie of East Jordan, and Marilyn Anderson of Charlevoix.
Funeral Services will take place Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church, 203 E. Upright Ave., Charlevoix, MI 49720. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Visitation will also take place Friday, April 2, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix.
