Jacqueline Jean Morrison was born on January 24, 1930 in Traverse City, Michigan, the daughter of Andrew and Evelyn Popa. On September 30, 1950 she married the love of her life, Bruce D. Morrison and they made their home on the Morrison family farm in Yuba. Jackie graduated form Traverse City High School and worked for the Parson's Company for many years and then worked as a title examiner where her extreme attention to detail was put to good use. After she and Bruce retired they made their home in Kincheloe, Michigan during the summer and fall and in McAllen, Texas during the spring and winter. They were avid square dancers and enjoyed traveling across the country in their Airstream to attend conventions and dances. Bruce passed away on December 9, 2005 and then Jackie moved to Elk Rapids to be close to her family. Never having children meant that they had an immense amount of love to bestow on their many four-legged canine friends. They could be seen walking their dogs every morning and every evening regardless of where they were. Memorials may be given in Jackie's name to the Humane Society.
