Jacqueline Fernande (Marcotte) (Robitaille) Klooster passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 23, 2021. She was born February 14, 1933 to Roland and Lucienne (Carrier) Marcotte in Berlin, New Hampshire and grew up in Lewiston, Maine.
She married Carrol Robitaille of Lewiston Maine in March 31, 1951 who preceded her in death on June 12, 1955. The union of this marriage was blessed with three children, Diane, Paul, and Butch. After Carrol (Jake) passing, she met Henry (Hank) Klooster who was in the Navy stationed in Bath, Maine and married him on August 21, 1957. They moved to the Village of Norwood, Michigan where they added to their family, Debby and Pat.
Jackie maintained a home and raised the family while supporting her husband and his brothers with their business Conrad Klooster Inc- John Deere. She was a gracious hostess. No one would leave their home without being served coffee and an assortment of goodies. If you were lucky enough to come around noon, you would be invited to lunch.
Jackie was a member of the Community Reformed Church of Charlevoix. She was a Sunday School Teacher, volunteer at the Rainbow Shoppe, Dental assistant and worked with the fluoride program for elementary school kids.
Jackie spent the last six years at Mallard Cove Assisted Living in Petoskey. She had exceptional care from the Mallard Cove family. We would like to thank Sarah, Susan, Mary, Lauri, Claudia and Cody. She made many friends while there especially her hall neighbor, Billie. BINGO was her GAME-O and Honey Buns was her prize.
Jackie is survived by her five children: Diane (Dan) Bennett of Bellaire, Michigan, Paul Klooster of Oak Leaf, Texas, Butch (Joan) Klooster of Indianapolis, Indiana, Debra ( Lee) Chapaw of Charlevoix, Michigan, Patrick (Susan) Klooster of Charlevoix, Michigan, her brother Roland Marcotte of Lewiston Maine, 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and her lifelong friend Louise Bascom.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Henry I Klooster on January 12, 2016 and Carrol Robitaille. Also brothers Marcel Marcotte of Maine, Maurice Marcotte of Maine, Leonard Marcotte of New York, and Laurier Marcotte of Maine.
Burial for Jackie will take place Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at Atwood Cemetery on Church Road in Ellsworth, Michigan.
