Jacob Dennis Jensen, age 50, of Charlevoix, passed away January 10, 2024. He was born August 20, 1973, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Dennis Jensen and Geneva (Thayer) Jensen.
Jacob loved spending time outdoors; hunting, camping, fishing, motorsports…he did it all. His favorite thing to do was ride snowmobiles, whether it was just a quick trip, or a weekend riding the trails in the U.P., he was always up for it. His camp in Alba held a special place in his heart, and he shared many memories there with close friends and family. He was also known to enjoy a Busch Light or two, and recently began stilling his own whiskey.
Jacob owned and operated Charlevoix Maintenance for over 25 years, and was proud of the reputation he built in the surrounding area. His employees meant the world to him and he did everything in his power to make sure they were taken care of. He was always there when someone needed a helping hand with anything at all. His family and friends will remember him for his giving nature and willingness to help those in need.
On August 31, 2012, in Charlevoix, Jacob married Jessica (Skop) Jensen, who survives. Also surviving are his five children, Hunter Jensen (Milla Tarvudo) of Wolverine, Jacob Jensen of Charlevoix, Kelsey Seymour of Charlevoix, Hayden Gardner of Charlevoix, and Kaitlyn Jensen of Charlevoix; his mother, Geneva Jensen (Bill Brooks) of Baraboo, WI; three brothers, Jeremiah (Amanda) Jensen of Charlevoix, Alex Jensen of Alexander, OH, and Dyllan Skop of Charlevoix; three nieces, Grace Jensen, Clarice Jensen, and Brooklyn Skop; his nephew, Tyler Jensen; his beloved dog, Scooby, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Rhonda and Phil Skeel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Jensen.
