Jack Robb, 81 and Marybeth Robb, 78, of Union Lake and Mancelona, Michigan, both went home to be with the Lord within two days of each other. First Jack died on Tuesday, September 21 and then his wife on September 23, 2010. Jack was born May 31, 1929 in Mancelona, Michigan, the son of the late Arlington and Faith Robb. Marybeth was born September 2, 1932 in Custer Township, Michigan, the daughter of the late Grant and Minnie Mehlberg. Jack was in the Air Force for four years during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist until he was 75 years old. He loved trout fishing, mushroom hunting, berry picking, gardening and doing crossword puzzles. He simply loved anything outdoors. Marybeth was a music teacher for many years in Oakland County in her home. She loved singing, sewing, and crocheting/knitting. Both she and Jack attended the Ward Presbyterian Church in Northville, Michigan. Left to cherish Jack and Marybeth's memory is their four children Judith Ann (William) Mack of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Barbara Louise (William) Simon of Roseville, Minnesota, David (Toni) Robb of Bellaire, Michigan, and Steve Robb of Bellaire, Michigan. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, along with several brothers and sisters, nieces, and nephews. They are preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Both Jack and Marybeth will be greatly missed. Funeral services will take place at the Mancelona Free Methodist Church on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Cook officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Home.
