Jack M Patterson

Jack M. Patterson, 92 of Mancelona passed away peacefully on Sept. 23, 2024 at Eastport Village Care Home.  

He was born Aug. 1, 1932 in Monoville, TN the son of Ernest and Ollie (Dickerson) Patterson and proudly served in the US Army during the Korean era.  

Jack was a hardworking employee of General Motors and retired after many years of dedicated service. He loved all things with motors, especially in his Speed shop where he worked on cars.  He enjoyed riding snowmobiles and motorcycles, and spending time in the great outdoors.  He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling.  Jack was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mancelona, volunteering to help wherever they needed.  For many years he helped cook and serve food for the community meals they provided.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Janet L. (Pawlowski) Patterson.  Also surviving are his children Debra Myers of Mancelona, Glen Patterson of TN, Gary (Barbara) Patterson of Britton, MI, grandchildren Shawn Townsend and Daniel Fischer, 5 great grandchildren, brothers Mike and Bob, sisters Marty, Nan, and Donna.   He was preceded in death by his siblings Pat and Betty.
