Jack Michael Neill, 65, of Charlevoix, MI, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on December 20, 2024. Born on February 4, 1959, in Petoskey, MI, Jack was the beloved son of David Neill and Joyce (Houlihan) Neill, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his brother-in-law, Tex Whitlock.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Susan (Lince) Neill, with whom he shared a life filled with love and adventure. He was a proud father to Bethany (Philip) Hedgepath, Jacqueline (Charles) Neill, Sean (Danielle) Neill, and Austin (Alyssa) Neill. Jack’s cherished grandchildren—Abigail, Sophia, Cameron, Michael, and Onyx—brought him boundless joy. He also leaves behind his sister Barb (Tom) Webster, brothers John Neill, Stan (Jane) Neill, and Don (Terrie) Neill, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.
Jack graduated from Petoskey High School and went on to live a life full of passion, humor, and love. Known for his eccentric, larger-than-life personality, Jack brought warmth and laughter to every room he entered. He was an unforgettable storyteller whose tales brought joy to all who heard them. His family remembers his fierce love, especially for his wife, children and grandchildren, and his ability to make everyone feel cared for and special.
A man of many talents and quirks, Jack had a deep affection for animals and an unshakable bond with his cherished boat. His love for music was boundless, and he could often be found dancing in the living room or pulling others into an impromptu dance at family gatherings. He embraced life with enthusiasm and had a remarkable ability to make ordinary moments extraordinary.
Jack’s wife, Susan, remembers their life together as one of deep love and shared adventures, a testament to the enduring bond they shared.
Jack’s life was a celebration of love, joy, and connection. His family and friends will carry his memory in their hearts, inspired by his vibrant spirit and the profound love he shared with all who knew him.
