Jack Bohannon

Jack Lee Bohannon, 66 of Bellaire, died Mon. Dec. 4, 2017 after a valiant fight with cancer.

He was born May 11, 1951 in Alma the son of Dale and Betty (Perry) Bohannon.

Jack travelled often for work and moved to Bellaire in 1980.  He to work for GTE Telephone Company and retired after many years of dedicated service.  After retirement he went to work at Shanty Creek Resorts.

Jack loved to hunt and fish and he was a proud endowment member of the NRA. He enjoyed his time in the great outdoors and loved motorcycles.

On March 21, 1992 he married Patricia Haviland-McClaine who survives.  Also surviving is his mother Betty Bohannon, son Billy Bohannon and daughter Andrea (Bud) Saley, sisters Jill (Frank) McClintic, Jean (Ward) Forquer, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Randy Bohannon and his granddaughter Maddy Depew.

Funeral services will be held Fri., Dec. 8, 2017 at Noon at the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church with Pastor Eric Falker officiating.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church.  Visitation will also be held Thur. Dec. 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.
