J. Cyr

J. Claude St. Cyr, 87, of Bellaire, passed away on September 5, 2014 at his home. Claude was born on June 9, 1927, in Highland Park, MI, the son of Tony and Irene(Durocher) St. Cyr. Claude was a Bellaire resident since 1986 and enjoyed woodworking and taking daily walks to town. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On August 28, 1948, in Mancelona, he married Gwen Gregory who survives. Also surviving are 5 children, Bonnie St. Cyr of Bellaire, Toni (John) Pearson of Clarkston, Mike St. Cyr of Grand Haven, Tom St. Cyr of Lake Orion, Lynette (Ken) Storm of Metamora, 5 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Joe St. Cyr, 2 grandsons, Rick Sellers and John Pearson. A graveside service with military honors will take place on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Eldred Cemetery, Kearney Township. Barb Kowall will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim County Commission on Aging or to Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.
