Irma Hierlihy

Irma Marie Hierlihy of Bellaire, died at 11:45 PM, Tuesday, October 13th at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was born in Detroit to Henry and Hattie Klingelhofer. She married her husband Bud Hierlihy on April, 21 1951 and he survives. Also surviving are her sisters; Norma Vallad and Hattie (Ken) Van Haaften, sister inlaw; Mardell Dawson, children; Peggy and husband Rick Berta of Rockford, son Chip and wife Katie Hierlihy of Commerce Township, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Irma's father and mother preceded her in death. Irma was a long time resident of Bellaire. She graduated from Bellaire High School and worked side by side with her husband at Vacationland. She loved to read, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. The visitation is from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Church In The Hills (Bellaire). The funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00 AM, also at Church In The Hills. Pastor David Ramage will be officiating. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
