Irene Bishaw

Irene R. “Judy” Bishaw, 71, of Ellsworth, died Friday, March 2, 2018 in Traverse City.

Irene was born May 25, 1946 in Elmira to George and Martha Jane (Muma) Pruitt.

She owned and operated Hour Place restaurant in Boyne City for many years. She enjoyed cooking, hunting, racing stock cars, going to the casino, gardening, watching birds and animals.

She is survived by her ex-husband John Bishaw of Charlevoix; children Ronnalee (Rex) Whetstone of Westland, Mark Bishaw of Central Lake, Candy Bishaw of Central Lake, Dan Bishaw and Wendy Kent of Ellsworth; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Timothy Bishaw and two sisters, Anna Mae Dunham and Elizabeth Coon.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Hastings Funeral Home in Ellsworth with the Rev. Celia Hastings officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Ellsworth Cemetery.
