Ingeborg Paula Fritz, 81, of Venice, Florida and Norwood, Mich., originally from Okemos, Mich. died peacefully in her Michigan home on June 1st, 2012. Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 1st at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Charlevoix, Mich. Co-burial with husband George will be at Norwood Lakeside Cemetery on July, 5th. Survivors include son James and his wife Julie (Gabel) of Champlin, Minn.; daughters Judi Fritz of Norwood, Gretchen (Fritz) Knight and son-in-law Larry Knight of Norwood; Becky (Fritz) Hite and son-in-law Barry Hite of Midlothian, Va., grandchildren Shelby (12) and Max (9) Hite and Rachel (23) and Cameron (20) Knight, students at Michigan State University. Ingeborg was a loving mother and to all children that knew her. She was a graduate of Michigan State University where she received a BA degree in Education. Her passions included the arts, cooking, and entertaining. Over her lifetime she taught physical education, volunteered time with the cub scouts, and was an active participant at Historic Spanish Point in Osprey, Fl. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Northern Michigan Regional Health System Foundation, www.nmh-foundation.org. Arrangements have been handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

Everyone is welcome to come celebrate the life of Ingeborg Fritz on July 1, 2012 at 3 p.m. at First Congregational Church of Christ in Charlevoix. There will be a coffee klatch in the fellowship hall after the service. Joint interment with her husband George, (9-16-1932 to 4-8-2012) will be Thurs. July 5, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Norwood Lakeside Cemetery, Norwood Rd., Norwood. Her full obituary and guestbook can be viewed at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com.
