Inez Short

INEZ E. SHORT, 84, of Mancelona, died on May 4, 2010 at her home. Inez was born on August 12, 1925 in Mancelona, the daughter of William and Ethel (Alexander) Martin. Inez enjoyed country music, dancing, painting, taking car rides and spending time with her family. On November 30, 1944 in Mancelona, she married Erwin Short who survives. Also surviving are five children, Carolyn (John) Sehl, Linda (Dennis) Sizemore, Glenda Bailey, Dennis (Joanne) Short, Ron (Clarissa) Short all of Mancelona, a sister Phyliss Meeder of Owosso, MI., 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son Ricky Short, two brothers, Harold and Kenny Martin, three sisters, Irene Patrick, Delores "Dude" Watson, Eleanor Buckwheat and her parents. Funeral services will take place on Sat., May 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Louis Scholl will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Visitation will be on Fri. from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. also at the funeral home.
