Howard Barraw

HOWARD L. BARRAW SR., of Central Lake passed away Friday, June 1, 2007 at Grandvue Care Facility in East Jordan. He was born March 5, 1939 in Central Lake, the son of Joseph and Sarah (Boyer) Barraw. He has had residents in Ellsworth and Central Lake. Howard honorably served his country in the U. S. Navy for four years. On July 23, 1987 he married Wanda Barraw. Howard worked in Charlevoix at DME for 35 years and retired in 2001. Surviving are his wife Wanda, his three children; Howard (Patty) Jr. of Ellsworth, Diana (Tony) Hughey of Owasso, OK, Junie (Jerry) Fleury of Kingsford, 9 grandchildren one brother, 3 sisters and many nephews and nieces. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2007, 2 p.m. at the Bible Baptist Church in Central Lake with Pastor Thomas Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends from Eleven a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in Southern Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at the church.
