Hershall Magee

Hershall Franklin Magee, 87, of Alden, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at his home.  He was born on September 5, 1932 in Boyne Falls, the son of Lewis and Stella (Coon) Magee.

After graduating high school, Hershall went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War.  In 1968, he married Judy Fultz.   Hershall enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage.  He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Hershall is survived by his loving wife, Judy Magee of Alden; two children, Dominic (Shiloh) Magee of Alden, and Travis (Katie) Magee of Alden; six grandchildren, Teyanna (Cody) Moore, Trenten Magee, Kanan Magee, Hershall Magee, Alexandria Magee, and Amber Magee; and two great grandchildren, Wyatt Moore, and Gracelyn Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Stella Magee; a son, Patrick Magee; a grandson, Brandon Magee; two brothers, Marshall Magee, and Emerald Magee; two sisters, Josephine Montgomery, and Fanny Udell; and his first wife, Joyce Magee.

Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, 205 W. State St., Mancelona, MI 49659.  Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service, also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
