Herbert Hoose, Jr

Herbert Lee Hoose Jr., 56, of Rapid City, passed away September 10, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 2, 1957 in Bellaire, the son of Herbert Sr and Carroll Hoose. Herbert worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family, horseback riding, fishing, hunting and anything outdoors. On September 27, 1996 in Alden, he married Lorieann Flanagin. Also surviving are his children, Amy (Ryan) Wheeler of Anamosa, IA, Raymond (Victoria) Hoose of Markel, IN., Scott (Emma) Hoose of Mancelona, and Elizabeth (Billy) Hoose of Rapid City; mother, Carroll (John) Hoose of Mancelona; brother, Dan (Charlene) Hoose of Mancelona; sister, Rose (Ronald) Davis all of Mancelona; six grandchildren, Malcolm, Ally-Anna, Lilly, Eric, McKenzie and Madison. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Lee Hoose Sr., and sister, Ann Louise Dodge. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, September 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Alden United Methodist Church. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
