Henry Colombo

Henry (Hank) Joseph Colombo, 29, of Bellaire, Michigan died April 8, 2014 at his home.

He was born January 17, 1985 in Jackson, Wyoming. Henry is survived by his parents, Jim and Therry Colombo of Bellaire, his older brother, Tony (Rapid City) and his younger sister, Margaret (Sandy, Utah). Henry is also survived by his grandparents, Joe and Gerry Colombo and his Aunt Kathy (Bellaire) and his Gramma Amy Mosner (Troy). He had many aunts, uncles and cousins who are spread out all over the country. He was preceded in death by his Uncle Joe Colombo and his Grandpa Dick Mosner.

Henry had so many passions in life. He loved music, skateboarding, working on his bikes and music festivals. Collecting coins, rocks, relics and any other objects of the past excited Henry and these things were often on display in his apartment. Ice fishing with his dad and friends from Lamina, mushroom hunting with his dad, hiking the Cedar River with his brother, canoeing the Jordan River and being a big brother to his sister, and having lunch and long talks with his mom were all things he enjoyed. He was the life of any gathering and his friends will tell you how his eyes and his smile lit up any space he entered. Henry took numerous road trips and drove or flew across the country many times. He kept track on these various travels on a huge wall map of the USA. He lived in San Diego for a number of years doing tile work with his Uncle Dave. Most of all, Henry loved his family so much.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to the Friends of the Cedar River, c/o Antrim Conservation District, 4820 Stover Road, Bellaire or the Dakoske Hall, 116 Eighth Street, Traverse City.
