Hazel "Marge" Musico, 89, of Alden, died peacefully Wed. Sept. 7, 2011, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. She was born Feb. 12, 1922 in Detroit, the eldest child of Charles and Ada (Murphy) Leight. Hazel was a very artistic person. She enjoyed needle point, sewing, and ceramics. She also enjoyed reading mysteries, and doing a good word search. On Sept. 11, 1943, she married Sam Musico. After her retirement from over 30 years at Bud Wheel in Detroit, they moved north to Alden to join their family. Hazel and Sam were very family orientated and loved to travel and visit them, wherever they were; Florida, California, out west, and all over Michigan. Hazel is survived by her children Madeline (Ron - Carl) Lamb-Halgeson, John Musico, Nadine (David Lichota) Conrady, Patricia (Richard) Deloy, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam, sister Gerry, brother Robert, son in-law Larry, and grandson Larry Jr. Funeral services will be held Fri. Sept. 9, at 4 pm, at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Russell Tharp officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the time of service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Mon. Sept. 12, at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp. Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
