Harold Stites

Harold Lloyd Stites, of Kewadin, was reunited with his beloved wife, Dorothy Stites, on Friday, May 14th , 2021.  Harold was one of five children, born on October 16th, 1931 in Epouffette, MI.  He enlisted in the US Army in 1947 and married Dorothy J. Stites in 1952.  They were married 68 years and together had five children, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Harold was a hard worker and talented drywaller and auto body mechanic.  He enjoyed playing Euchre, cooking, play the guitar and banjo, riding his motorcycles and reminiscing with old friends.  However, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren the most.  His smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Harold is survived by his children, Debbie (Kirk) Hubbell, Craig (Karen) Stites, Mark Stites, and Greg Stites, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Stites, daughter Sherry Lynn Stites, grandson, Joshua Stites, sisters, brothers, and parents.

Harold’s family will celebrate his life privately, and he will be laid to rest next to Dorothy in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
