Harold Johnson

Harold Johnson, 79, of Mancelona, passed away, Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Munson Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1929 to Bond and Bertha (Ludwig) Johnson. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed farming, gardening, talking to his CB buddies, working in the woods and making wooden toys. He worked for Meeder Lumber for 18 years and Biehl's feed for 34 years. On December 12, 1947 he married Pauline Rosa who survives. Also surviving are children Vickie (Jerry) Allen, Suzie (Leo) Vipond, Rick (Norma) Johnson, Jan (Carter) Dollaway, Mike (Nan) Johnson, Terry (Jesse) Johnson, Patty (Kevin) Derror, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harley. A Memorial service will be held Monday, June 29, at 2 p.m. at the Johnson farm, 132 W. Simpson Rd., Mancelona. All family and friends are welcome and a lunch will be served after the service. Arrangements have been handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
