Grace Azzopardi

Grace A. Azzopardi, 75, of Charlevoix, formerly of Clinton Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, with her family at her side.  She was born on April 10, 1948, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Sam and Josephine (Gancitano) Daleo.

Grace was raised in the Detroit area, and would ultimately raise her family near the area as well.  She took care of her two sons, was a hairdresser, and worked at several fast food restaurants over the years.  She enjoyed many camping trips with her husband and sons, starting with tent camping, and eventually moving up to a large camper trailer.  Her favorite time was spent with her family, especially her many grandchildren.  Grace lived a simple life, and went out of her way to help anyone who was in need.

Grace is survived by her two sons, Tony Azzopardi (fiancé Amanda Falkenberg) of Charlevoix, and Jeff Azzopardi (fiancé Amy Solomon) of Monroe, MI; nine grandchildren, Lauren, Joshua, Joseph, James, Jacob, Jonathan, Ryan, Evermore, and Amylia; and several nieces nephews and siblings both by blood and by marriage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Anthony Azzopardi; and several siblings.

Grace’s family has chosen to celebrate her life privately.
