Gerald Schrock

Gerald “Jerry” Schrock,  82, of Mancelona, passed away on March 12, 2018 at Munson Medical Center.

Jerry was born on September 13, 1935, in Detroit to Agnes Smith.

He was employed as a tool and die maker for the General Motors Tech Center in Warren for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.

On April 20, 1991, in Interlochen, he married Marilyn Bohaboy who survives.  Also surviving are 7 children, Norma (Clint) Kibby of Mancelona, Jon Bush of Traverse City, Sandra (Chuck) Hanna of Kingsley, Amy Forton (Ben Young) of Mancelona, Lorena Luper of Interlochen, Kim (Dennis) VanHall of Mt. Clemens, MI, Ken (Jennifer) Schrock of Austin, TX, a sister Patricia (Bill) Deska of West Bloomfield, MI,  several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Thomas, great-granddaughter Aleksandra Karl  and  his mother.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. Friday also at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona when weather permits.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
