Gerald Kent

Gerald Lloyd Kent, 75 of East Jordan, died Mon. Oct. 15, 2012 at home. He was born Sept. 5, 1937, in Kearney Twp., the son of Curzon B. and Amelia (Shaw) Kent. After his retirement from General Motors in Flint, Jerry moved to East Jordan. He enjoyed racing, hunting, and mechanic work. Jerry was a very generous person who always did what he could to help others. He is survived by his children; Lorna L. Carpenter (James) of LaGrange, GA, Ron L. (Stephanie) Kent of LaGrange, GA, Carol L. (Steve) Johnson of LaGrange, GA, Gerald "Jerry" (Lissa) Kent of Central Lake, daughter in law Annette Kent, stepdaughter Brenda (David) Czarnecki of East Jordan, siblings; Lorna Price Withey of Central Lake, Beverly (Aaron) Coleman of Kewadin, sister in law Juanita Kent of Central Lake, grandchildren; Tonya L. (Patrick) Henry, Nicole Plant Thomas, Sarah Kent, Justin A. Johnson, Gerald L. Kent III, Laura A. Kent, Melissa G. Kent, Robert Hess, Lonnie Hess, Zackary Czarnecki, great grandchildren Andrew Kent, Pae-ton Plant Thomas, Halia Kent, Evan Thomas, and Evan Kent. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margo E. (Person) Kent, his son Daniel Kent, his brother Daniel Kent, his grandson James R. Carpenter III, and stepson Bruce E. Gardner.
