Georgina "Jean" Madagame

Georgina “Jean” Ruth Madagame, 79 of Alba, died May 2, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

Jean was a kind and loving person who worked at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire for 28 years as a nurse and dietary aide.  She prided herself on taking care of people and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Jean enjoyed gardening and needlepoint and also bowling in her younger years.

Surviving are her children Eric (Jill) Madagame of Mancelona, Cheryl Madagame of Alba, Anita (George) Arnold of Mancelona, grandchildren Jessica (Coty) Johnson, Timothy Tschirhart, Brandon Arnold, great grandchildren Nevaeh, Noah, Nadalyn, and Neila Johnson.  She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard in 2001, and her siblings Harold, Beulah, Lavon, and Arlene.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Interment will follow in Star Township Cemetery, Alba.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
