George Finney

George Dewaine Finney was called home to be with the Lord September 12, 2018. He passed away peacefully with family by his side.

He leaves behind his wife Sandra Kay (Arsnoe) Finney whom he married September 26, 1964 in Bellaire,where they raised two children, George DeWaine Finney Jr of Bellaire and Lisa Marie Finney (Mike) Mikolon of Vanderbilt.

George who was better known as "Pa Pa" and dearly loved his grandchildren Heather Marie Puroll, Elisakaye (Jake) Kelly, Caleb W Puroll, Andrea J Mikolon, Jason T Mikolon, Makayla E Finney, Devin George Finney, as well as his great grandchildren Melaina Kelly, Joseph Kelly and Jacob George Kelly.

George is survived by his siblings Roberta (Dave) Homer, and Robert (Kathy) Finney and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father George Francis Finney, EllaMay (Bedell) Huffman, and John Finney.

George was employed by Lamina where he enjoyed 37 years before retirement in July 2003.

George’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and countless friends. He was a proud member of the Antrim Community Church in Bellaire where he enjoyed fellowshipping with his church family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 29, at 1 p.m. at the Kearney Township Hall. Visitation will be held before the service from 12-1 p.m.

Due to scent sensitivities, the family requests NO perfumes or scented products be worn to the service.
