George Felton Jr.

George E. Felton Jr, 82 of Bellaire and formerly of Grand Rapids, died Aug. 21, 2017 at his son Bob’s home.

He was born June 29, 1935 in Gary, IN the son of George E. and Evelyn A. (Goff) Felton Sr.  After he graduated high school he proudly served in the U.S. Army.

George was a pipe fitter by trade working in Gary, IN before moving to the Grand Rapids Area and working for Anderson Automation.  He was a former member of Hillcrest Community Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Ellsworth Christian Reformed Church, and he most recently attended New Hope Church in Bellaire.

Surviving George are his children George E. (Cheryl) Felton III of Grand Rapids, Robert H. (Amy) Felton of Bellaire, sister Roxanne (Sip) Kalch of Hobart, IN, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sister in law Ann Felton.  He was preceded in death by his wife Judith (Smith) Felton, his parents, his brothers Clifford and David, sister Joan Cyprian, sister in law Delores Felton and brother in law Ernie Cyprian.

A memorial service will be held Sat. Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at Brookside CRC, 3600 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508, with a time of fellowship to follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to Paradise Bound Ministries, PO Box 80, Zeeland, MI 49464
