Gary Way

Gary Richard Way, 57, died peacefully in his sleep of an apparent heart attack on Saturday, March 28, 2020. He was born on May 26, 1962 in Charlevoix, Mi, the son of Richard and Lois Way.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law Brady and Leah Way, his life partner Amy Donaldson, his two siblings, Ron Way, and Charlene Martin, their spouses, Jill Way and Scott Martin, four nieces, Madison (Peter) Beltz , Anna Way, Elizabeth (Winter) Romeyn, Grace Way, and one nephew, Mike (Laura) Martin.

Gary graduated from Charlevoix High School and was a lifelong business partner with his brother, Ron, of Way Building Contractors in Charlevoix, Mi.

He loved to hunt, fish, and tinker with old vehicles, of which he had a few.

Gary will be dearly missed in the community. Family, close friends, and the Way building crew, of which he dearly loved gathered for a funeral service on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Mortensen Funeral Home in Charlevoix.
