Gary Strempel

Gary Strempel, 61, of Mancelona passed away Monday December 29, 2014 at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital.

The son of Robert and Donna (Strempel) was born July 11, 1953 in Flint. Gary moved to Rogers City in 1978 and married Denise (Cotton) Talaske on June 13, 1980. They made there home in Rogers City until 2002 when they moved to Mancelona. He worked as a consultant for the Gas and Oil Industry.

Surviving are his parents Robert and Donna of Flint, his wife Denise, a daughter Samantha "Sam" (James) Cummer, and 2 grandchildren Allysa, and Gaige of Fife Lake, a Step Daughter Tanya (James) Konieczny and 2 grandsons Tyler and Keegan of Lachine; and 2 sisters Sue Bostwick and Kate (James) Gerzetich all of Flint.

Visitation will be Monday January 19, 2015 at Mortensen Funeral Home in Mancelona from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service.
