Gary Lee Anderson

Gary Lee Anderson, age 78 of Charlevoix went home to Jesus, August 1, 2022, his 57^th wedding anniversary to his beloved wife Kay.

He was born July 24, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Capt. Richard and Eileen (Wedhorn) Anderson-Farley.

He graduated from Milford High school in 1963. Gary married Kay Dickerson on August 1, 1965 at Milford Presbyterian Church. He bought Farley Electric Company from his father.  He fell in love with his summer home and moved north in 1994.  He purchased the Grey Gables restaurant in Charlevoix and his girls followed him north.  After retiring from the restaurant Gary and Kay enjoyed travelling and spending time with their friends.  Gary was a devout University of Michigan fan and enjoyed watching all his grandchildren’s sporting events and many activities.

Gary was preceded in death by his fathers, Captain Richard Anderson and Sam Farley, and mother, Eileen Farley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Kay Anderson; children, Holly (Gary) Fuchs, Kelly (Darren) Romano, and Amy (Greg) Farmer; grandchildren, Tyler, Maxy and Boden Fuchs, Abigail (Luke) Dennison, Megan Romano and Jillian Romano, Drew, Riley, and Anderson Farmer; siblings, Dan (Grace) Farley, Donna (David) Gramlich, and Laurel (Joel) Castiglione, along with many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Community Reformed Church, 109 Elm St., Charlevoix, MI 49720.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
