Frederick “Fred” W. Jolliffe, age 84 of Charlevoix passed away on October 19, 2018 at Boulder Park Terrace.
Fred was born on March 28, 1934 in Charlevoix to the late William and Frances (Lord) Jolliffe. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean war. Fred retired after many years of work as a tool and die maker at Dura Automotive Systems in Mancelona.
Fred enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, caring for his animals that he owned throughout the years. He also was known for his ability to fix just about anything and he was always building or fixing something. Fred was a gunsmith and spent many hours working on them in his garage.
Fred is survived by his daughters, Anna Jolliffe of Pellston and Linda (Mike) Borowiak of East Jordan; brothers, Richard (Esther) Jolliffe and Robert (Noreen) Jolliffe along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
On July 23, 1960, he married Joan Roberts who preceded him in death in 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William Jr. and James Jolliffe.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Norwood Community Church with Pastor Ted Polleys officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment with military honors will follow at Norwood Lakeside Cemetery.
