Frances McKenzie

Frances E. McKenzie, age 82 of Charlevoix passed away on June 2, 2017 at her home. Frances was born on February 18, 1935 in Winston Salem, North Carolina, the daughter of Giles and Edith (Gerris) Lineback.

For 25 years Frances worked as a nurses’ aide at Charlevoix Hospital and was a member of the Charlevoix United Methodist Church.

On February 14, 1997 Frances married Peter McKenzie who survives. Also surviving are children, Michelle White (Manuel “Joe”) Travers of Charlevoix, Daniel Patrick (Christine) White of Hudsonville, MI, stepchildren, Steve McKenzie, Penny McKenzie (Larry) Everett, Martha McKenzie, brother, Giles “Sonny” Lineback of North Carolina, sister, Margaret Pulley of North Carolina, 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, David John Decker, step-son, Michael McKenzie, daughter-in-law, Lori McKenzie, and several siblings.

Memorial services will take place on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Mike Arp officiating.
