Floyd North

Floyd Ervin North, 67, of Mancelona, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home surrounded by loved ones.  He was born on April 18, 1954 in Munising, MI, the son of William and Mable (Livermore) North.

Floyd ran a small engine repair company as well as a landscaping company for several years before becoming unable to work.  He still enjoyed tinkering on tractors and mowers at home.  He loved having cookouts, gardening, and spending time with all of his grandkids.  In his earlier years, he also liked to take his boys out fishing.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Robin (Jerome) North; three sons, Myron North of Muskegon, Floyd North Jr. of Mancelona, and Joshua (Tifany) North of Mancelona; brother, Clyde (Tammy) North of Alba; three sisters, Betty (Jason) Olds of Alba, Edith (Dusty) Dusten of Alba, and Mary (Rick) Simpson of PA; eight grandchildren, Nickolas North, Amber North, Jazmyn North, Ezekiel North, Zechariah North, Haley (Brent) Kovalcik, Tyler Finch, and David Wright; many step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, Kairi, Erik, and Kayden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William C. North; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Coon and Carol Darby.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Breath of Life Ministries Church in Alba.
