Floyd Hart Sr

Floyd W. Hart, Sr. 83, of Mancelona, passed away on May 21, 2017 at his home. Floyd was born on March 5, 1934 in Gaylord, the son of Millard and Florence (Hittle) Hart. Floyd was employed as a meat cutter for A & P in Mancelona for many years and was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He loved to play horseshoes, rabbit hunting, fishing and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. He is survived by 5 children, Floyd Hart Jr., of Kalkaska, Rodney (Sheryl) Hart of Mancelona, Tim (Phyllis) Hart of Mancelona, Mary (Stephen) Baker of Kalkaska, Craig (Jennifer) Hart of Mancelona, 4 brothers, Ray, Lonnie, Fred and Larry, 2 sisters, Vera and Rosie as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Marlyn, a daughter Karen, son Gregg as well as his parents. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona. Fr. Dale Magoon will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of mass at church on Wednesday.
