Frances Marvelle DiNofrio, 77 passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Elk Rapids with her family by her side.

Born February 25,1934 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of John Roy Toney and Frances Margaret (Dease) Eagle both deceased. Also preceding her in death a stepfather Paul Eagle, two son in laws Jesse Davila and James Willson and in January 2011 her daughter Brenda Ann Ryan.

On December 1, 1951 in Conshohocken, PA she married Paul Joseph DiNofrio and although they divorced in 1991 they remained close friends. He survives. Also surviving are daughters Paula Davila of Bellaire, Cynthia (Alan) Hickman of Bellaire, Sandra (Dean) Wade of Elk Rapids, son in law Terrance Ryan of Central Lake, two brothers Roland Toney of Berks County, PA & John Toney of Winston, GA, and many nieces and nephews. Marvelle was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Being a member of St Paul's Episcopal Church in Elk Rapids for 42 years and active with the Daughter's of the King brought prayer, joy, peace and love to her and the many parishioners she touched.

In addition to being a wonderful mother, homemaker and fabulous cook Marvelle in the early 1950's was a dental assistant and a part time jewelry & hand apparel model in department stores in the Philadelphia & New York City areas. Marvelle owned and operated three businesses during her lifetime, in the 1960's "The Marvelle Shop" (apparel), late 60's early 70's "Dino's Delicatessen" and most recently 1991-2003 "Creative Living" adult foster care in Bellaire. She continued her gift of sales at Brownwood during the summers and giving help to many by providing care for others in their homes until earlier this year.

Marvelle had unconditional love for everyone, a beautiful smile and a warm & loving heart. All who knew her loved her and she will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 1 from 9-11 a.m. @ St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Elk Rapids with the service following at 11 o'clock. Burial at Lakeview Cemetary in Bellaire at 3 o'clock. Memorial contributions may be made to Food Rescue of North West Michigan, 2279 S. Airport Rd. W., Traverse City, MI., 49684. Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
