Evaline McNett

Evaline Marie McNett, 98 of Traverse City, died Tues. Feb. 20, 2018 at Munson Medical Center.  She was born Feb. 12, 1920 in Port Huron the daughter of John and Lelia (Emlaw) Harris.

Evaline was kind, caring, and loved spending time with her family.  She helped many elderly people with errands and often would visit with them.  She considered them "old" when she was in her 80's but didn't place herself in the same category.  Evaline resided most of her life on East Torch Lake and was a member of the Alden United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children Lin (Mary) McNett of Cedar, Donald (Ann) McNett of Cotea, GA, Donna (Joe) Benz of Harrietta, MI, 10 grandchildren, over 30 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, her brother Donald Harris of Indianapolis, IN, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Donald McNett, son Keith L. McNett, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

No services are planned at this time.  Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona, MI.
