Eva Jerome

Eva B. (O’Day) Jerome, 92, of Alba, passed away on October 19, 2019 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.  She was born on January 4, 1927, in Lansing, the daughter of Myron and Eva (Grosnickle) Vaughan.

Eva was always the “life of the party” and loved to spend time with her family.   She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and spending time with her church family at the Breath of Life Ministries in Alba.  She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo. and listening to gospel music.

She is survived by 10 children, Ernest Jerome of Mancelona, Alan Jerome of Lansing, Gary Jerome of Hayward, Wisconsin, Sandra (Rick) Wagner of Mancelona, Linda (John) Brammer of Gaylord, Lou Ann (Raymond) Landers of Mancelona, Robin (Floyd Sr.) North of Mancelona, Janet (Larry) Buning, of Alba, Julie Jerome of Bellaire, and Mark (Charlotte) Jerome of Springfield, Kentucky.  She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Betty Goodrich and Donna Mae Foster and a brother Myron Vaughan.

There will be visitation on Monday, October 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 22 at 4:00 p.m. at the Breath of Life Ministries Church in Alba where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of services at the Church.  Burial will follow in Star Township Cemetery in Alba.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Breath of Life Ministries, P.O.
